St. Joseph’s Primary School after School Club endeavours to provide quality and affordable childcare for all children who attend St. Joseph’s Primary School or Footsteps Nursery.

Our qualified staff provide a wide range of activities in a safe, secure and happy environment. We have early and later After School provision and for the late bookings, we provide a healthy snack which meets the nutritional and cultural needs of all children.

The club is Governor led.

Session Time: 3pm – 6.00pm

Cost per session:

£6 for early bird ASC 3 – 4.30pm or late bird ASC 4:30 -6pm (£7 for late booking)

£12 for full ASC 3 – 6pm (£12 for late booking)

Our Club meets the regulations laid out within the OFSTED National Standards for Out of School Care and all other legislation relevant to our After School Club (ASC).

Ad Hoc bookings are charged at £8 for early/late bird and £15 for the full bird.

Collection

To ensure the  safety of our pupils, please read the collection procedures for children attending After School Club.

Collection point for the ASC is at the gates next to Footsteps Nursery.

LATE COLLECTION = LATE FEE

Please ensure that you are on time to collect your child/children as the school has a strict late fee policy.

The steps outlined below applies to all late collections after school including After School Activities and After School Club.

1. Up to 10 minutes after 3.20pm, the child/ren will wait in school reception ready to be collected from the school office.
2.  More than 10 minutes late, the child/ren will have to attend the After School Club and you will be charged for the entire session (On day rate - £16) 
3. If a parent/contact is not contactable, the school will contact the Bracknell Forest Health & Social Care’s office.
4. In an emergency, school will contact the police.

If a parent is late collecting their child(ren), the following action will be taken:

• Two members of staff will wait with the child and after 5 minutes, the parent will be called,  if no reply, they will call the second emergency contact.
• The child will be taken to the school office to wait for the parents and when the parents arrive, they will be asked to sign out via the school’s iPad system.
• A late collection fee will be issued for any late collection up to 10 minutes late. The charge will be £1.00 per minute. For example, 7 minutes will cost £7. In this case, a late letter will be issued and signed by the headteacher.
• If a parent is late collecting their child after 6.10pm, there will be a £20 late collection fee.
• Any late collections will be logged and followed up by the senior leadership team.
• St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School are obliged by law to notify the Duty Social Worker if any child has not been collected 30 minutes after the club has closed and we’ve been unable to make contact with either the parent/carer, or the alternative emergency contacts on file.  A member of staff will remain with any child whose parent/carer is late for collection.

Any problems with attendance and persistent late collection times should be dealt with in the first instance informally (a discussion with the parent/carer). However, persistent problems will be brought to the attention of the Governing Body and they can make a decision regarding the said parents’/carers’ future use of the Club.

Please note, all actions are at the discretion of the headteacher, and persistent late collections may result in a meeting with the headteacher and parents/carers being unable to use the club in the future.
